Our community is important to us, which is why 2% of Prism Capital Partners’ proceeds go towards giving back to San Francisco-based charities.

Jeff Handwerger
Founder & General Partner
Jeff Handwerger is passionate about real estate, design, and investment management. He has developed numerous projects ranging from major renovations of single-family homes to entitling 90+ unit projects valued in excess of $50 million. With over 30 years of experience in real estate development, brokerage, and appraisal, he has honed his knowledge of design, development and buyer preferences. In one condominium project, he achieved record $/SF prices that were not matched until nearly 15 years later. During the post-dot-com downturn, he created and implemented an innovative marketing plan and achieved record absorption of his 50-unit project. The prices achieved were approximately 20% higher than market.
Jeff brings a unique sense of vision. The projects featured in this presentation before 2017 were developed by Jeff Handwerger either as sole manager or with partners prior to the formation of Prism Capital Partners. At Prism, Jeff focuses on acquisition, development, design management, capital strategy and risk management.
He holds a Master's degree in Real Estate Development and Investment from New York University.. -
Chloe R. Sun
General Partner, Investments
Chloe R. Sun. has over a decade of experience in real estate special situations, capital markets, acquisitions, and opportunistic/value-add investing.
Earlier in her career, Chloe focused on real estate special situations investing and asset management through Greenland Funds USA, acquiring distressed residential portfolios and other complex, dislocation-driven investments arising from the Global Financial Crisis, well before large-scale institutional capital entered the sector. Her investment strategies during this period achieved IRRs exceeding 35%.
At Prism Capital Partners, Chloe leads portfolio strategy, acquisitions, and capital formation for opportunistic investment and development projects, delivering annual returns above 40% for investors.
Chloe holds a Master of Real Estate Development + Design (MRED+D) from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed executive education in Venture Capital & Private Equity at Columbia Business School.. -
Kate Young
Head of Creative
Kate Young is the Principal Designer at Prism Capital Partners and DESIGN1618 Studio. With a background in fashion design from Beijing and an interior architecture education in California, Kate has a 20-year career in the design field. At Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the world's leading hospitality interior design firm, she has worked on numerous high-profile projects, including seven-star luxury hotels and the private residence of Huawei's Chairman. Kate gained valuable insight and experience from collaborating closely with award-winning architects and successful real estate developers. Her key strength as a designer lies in her artistic flair and exquisite style, combined with practicality in the design of high-profile luxury properties.
At Prism, Kate Young plays the primary role in the design process. She is involved in every project Prism executes and stays with each project from schematic design to final completion. This unique opportunity allows Kate to consistently push beyond boundaries, creating fresh and inspirational designs that blend East and West aesthetics.
Kate Young holds a Certified Interior Designer (CCIDC) accreditation in the State of California..
